Wales: NRLA releases standard occupation contract ahead of law change next week
The NRLA has today released an enhanced and improved Standard Occupation Contract for use by landlords in Wales (V1.2FSOC). The new document works as an all-in-one contract, setting out the terms for both the initial fixed term and any periodic contract that follows on from this.
Notice period for converted contracts increase to six months following Welsh Government consultation

Wales: More questions on Rent Smart Wales raised in the Senedd
Rent Smart Wales' full telephone service will return 'as soon as possible', the Minister for Climate Change Julie James MS has confirmed. The licensing authority's landlord phoneline has been temporarily closed for several weeks. The Minister's comments were made in response to two questions tabled by the Member of Senedd for Monmouth, Peter Fox MS.

The NRLA has received calls from landlords who are concerned with Rent Smart Wales' (RSW) decision to close its phoneline service. NRLA contacted the organisation to discover why such a step had been taken.
