Section 21 and rental reform plans published at last
Proposals outlining the biggest changes to the private rented sector in more than 30 years will be made public by the Government today. The NRLA has welcomed Government promises on possession grounds and court reform, but said more detail is needed, particularly as regards a replacement for Section 21.

Plans to abolish Section 21 repossessions will be brought forward it has been confirmed in the Queen's Speech today. NRLA chief executive Ben Beadle has welcomed the Government's commitment to tackling arrears and antisocial behaviour and will continue to lobby Ministers to ensure other grounds for possessions are fair.
Landlords' mission to save pets in Ukraine
As millions of refugees flee war-torn Ukraine with little more than the clothes on their backs, many have had no choice but to leave behind much-loved family pets. Landlords Nick Tadd and Vanessa Warwick have raised tens of thousands of pounds to help save these animals, with Nick travelling to Ukraine to help coordinate the rescue mission on the ground.
