Renters' Rights Bill amendments - a deep dive
A number of amendments have been made to the Renters' Rights Bill ahead of it continuing its passage through parliament next week. Here, James Wood, head of policy at the NRLA, takes a deep dive into what the proposed changes will mean in practice.
The Renters' Rights Bill was already set to make sweeping changes to the sector by, amongst other things, abolishing Section 21, getting rid of fixed term tenancies and introducing a national database for the private rented sector (PRS).
However, earlier this week the Government published a series of new amendments that go even further. Here's what these will mean for you and your rental business.
