Continuous Professional Developement
Landlords should keep up to date with their skills and knowledge in order to provide the best possible level of service for tenants, and because law and best practice continually changes.
NRLA Accredited Members make a formal commitment to undertake regular learning and development. 5 core learning CPD points need to be obtained in order to become accredited, and need to be obtained again every 5 years.
In addition to the core points, another 5 points of CPD need to be obtained each year. There are loads of ways to earn these, some are automatically logged, some you will need to manually self-declare.
Here's what that means in practice for Accredited Members, in 5 easy steps:
Step 1 - Make sure you know your accreditation anniversary, and plan how you will obtain your CPD in advance
Step 2 - Obtain 5 core training points before every 5th anniversary.
Step 3 - Obtain 5 additional CPD points every year before your accreditation anniversary.
Step 4 - Manually log CPD where it is not automatically recorded for you
Step 5 - Keep your email address up to date with us, to ensure you recieve reminders about CPD
