Renters (Reform) Bill: Watch our webinars on demand
The Renters (Reform) Bill was published a month ago, setting out the Government's plans to fundamentally reform the private rented sector (PRS) in England.
Following the publication of the Bill, the NRLA has been hard at work, continuing to campaign in these early stages of the Bill’s progression, on behalf of members.
Coinciding with this, the association has also created a Renters (Reform) Bill hub, a dedicated place on our website for members to keep up-to-date with the latest on the Bill.
One of the latest resources published on the hub is two webinar recordings, now available exclusively for NRLA members to listen to on demand.
The webinars
Just two days after the publication of the Bill, on Wednesday 17th June, the NRLA ran a webinar for members to understand more about the details of the proposals.
NRLA Policy and Campaigns Director Chris Norris hosted as those who attended also heard directly from a Senior DLUHC official, on the contents of the Renters (Reform) Bill document.
A week later, we ran another webinar, a chance for members to hear from our campaigns team about our work to shape the Bill so far and what happens next.
It is important to note when the Bill has passed through the usual process and received Royal Assent, there will be a grace period for implementation to give landlords and the industry time to prepare for changes.
During this second webinar, Senior Campaigns Officer Ellie Bateman also put questions from members to the webinar host, Chris Norris.
Questions raised from members during the session were around redress schemes and the Levelling Up, Housing and Communities Committee Select Committee recommendations published in February.
NRLA members can watch the recordings again here.
