New speakers announced for NRLA conference

More speakers have been announced for the NRLA’s first conference, which will be held in Coventry this November.

Housing minister Eddie Hughes MP will be the keynote speaker at the conference, giving delegates the opportunity to hear first hand about the myriad of changes coming in as part of the Government’s Rental Reform Bill.

The Government’s white paper was released last month outlining proposals that will see the biggest shake up of the private rented sector in more than 30 years.

Hosted by Paul Lewis, presenter of Radio 4’s Money Box, the one-day event, being held in conjunction with Landlord Law Services, will be held at the Coventry Building Society Arena and includes a packed programme featuring a range of expert speakers who will address delegates on issues including legislation change and ambitious energy efficiency targets, which expected to have a huge impact on landlords’ businesses in the coming years.

Speakers

High profile industry figures Kate Faulkner, of Designs on Property, Vanessa Warwick founder of Property Tribes, Maxine Fothergill, immediate past president of ARLA Propertymark, and Paul Shamplina of Landlord Action will take part in a panel discussion on the question 'Is property worth investing in?'

The afternoon will showcase a special focus on climate change and energy efficiency and how it affects the PRS, with speakers giving political, legal and practical perspectives.

There will also be the opportunity for delegates to meet other landlords and agents, share experiences and pick up advice, support and offers from a range of exhibitors.

The conference welcomes anyone with an interest in private rented housing, from landlords with just one property, to those with larger portfolios, letting agency owners, local authority councillors and officers, journalists, and housing charities.

The event is being organised in conjunction with Landlord Law, which provides online and face to face training for landlords and has run a respected membership site for landlords for more than 20 years, and is sponsored by insurance providers Rentguard and Hamilton Fraser.

Tickets

The conference will run from 9am to 5pm, with tickets are priced at £140 for members and £240 for non-members, including lunch, a copy of the presentations, the conference handbook and five hours of CPD points.
