Martin Roberts, star of the BBC’s Homes under the Hammer - and NRLA member - has joined the association for the latest episode of NRLA podcast Listen Up Landlords.
Martin, who is also the cover star of our members' magazine Property this month has starred on the hit BBC show since day one, and is also a buy-to-let landlord, giving him a unique insight into the sector and the way it operates.
He shares anecdotes from his 18 years on Homes Under the Hammer as well as his top tips for buying at auction and investment advice.
Elsewhere in the show we compare the relative merits of high street and online agents.
Two years after the rollout of the Tenant Fees Act, presenters NRLA Chief Executive Ben Beadle and Richard Blanco talk to guests Michael Cook, National Lettings Managing Director at Leaders Roman’s group and Calum Brannan founder and CEO of online letting agent Howsy.
Michael and Calum talk about the changes they have seen since the introduction of the Act and the strengths – and weaknesses - of both high street and online models.
The NRLA advice team also takes to the airwaves - talking about the hot topics on the phonelines throughout the month.
Listen Up Landlords was launched in January this year and has covered topics as diverse as renters' reform, energy efficiency, debt management, home safety and interior design.
