NRLA surveying members on rental reform

The NRLA is surveying members on the Government’s new plans for rental reform, which were revealed last month.

The recently published White Paper ‘A Fairer Private Rented Sector’ and the forthcoming Renters' Reform Bill will have far-reaching implications for the PRS in England, especially for independent landlords.

As it stands the changes – which include the loss of Section 21 repossessions - will be the biggest seen in the private rented sector for more than 30 years.

The NRLA is collecting the views of landlords who let property in England, including those who may live in other parts of the UK or overseas. It is also keen to get the thoughts of property professionals who support landlords in England in what it hoped will be the biggest landlord survey of its kind on the issue.

This consultation is asking:

  • Which parts of the White Paper worry you the most?
  • Which parts of the White Paper are you more relaxed about?
  • What will happen to the properties you let if the Renters' Reform Bill progresses as outlined in the White Paper

Feedback from the survey will be used as the basis for future NRLA campaigning, and the evidence collected will be the basis of NRLA submissions to Government.

The survey will take around 30 minutes and all participants will be entered into a draw to win £200 of John Lewis vouchers.
