Event description
The Government has launched its long-awaited consultation on Minimum Energy Efficiency Standards (MEES), proposing major changes that will impact landlords across England and Wales.
Under the new plans, private rented properties will need to meet higher energy efficiency standards from 2028 for new tenancies and 2030 for all tenancies – with a £15,000 cost cap on required improvements.
Join NRLA Public Affairs Manager, Eleanor Bateman and NRLA Head of Policy, James Wood, for this essential webinar where we will break down the key proposals, outline how and when the rules could come into force, and discuss what they will mean for you and your properties.
We’ll update you on our work to ensure that the proposals are workable and how you could benefit through being a NRLA Member.
With the sector facing increasing regulation and financial pressures, these proposals raise concerns about affordability, feasibility and the potential impact on the rental market. Make sure you have your say and register now to stay informed and prepared for what could be ahead.
