PRIVATE landlords and letting agents are being offered free advice and information at a networking event hosted by Cumberland Council.
Property owners and agents will have the opportunity to meet and discuss the latest changes in housing law and legislation and ask experts questions.
The National Residential Landlords Association (NRLA) will be updating landlords and letting agents on legislative updates and proposals since the election.
This is a very popular event and will feature of a series of exhibitors who will be on hand to answer any questions, including the
DWP talking on the final claimants moving over from tax credits to Universal Credit. Cumbria Police Organised Crime Unit will provide an overview of how you as landlords can help them in the fight against organised crime .
AdHoc source guardians for short term lets, when owners are unsure what to do with a property or have a difficult let. They also can place a guardian into HMO’s where they maybe ongoing tenancy issues e.g. tenants not getting along to report back to the landlord.
