Renters (Reform) Bill: Latest from the Lords

NRLA Representative: NRLA Event Team

The Renters (Reform) Bill is set to be debated for the first time in the House of Lords on 15 May 2024, having been amended considerably since its publication a year ago.

The Bill now includes a moratorium on tenants serving notice in the first four months of a tenancy and a commitment to assess court capability before Section 21 abolition.

But what changes are still needed and how is the Bill likely to be amended by peers?

Join us for an update on the Bill, how NRLA campaigning has influenced the reforms thus far and what we can expect to happen next.

Please submit any questions you may have for the Q&A session of the webinar by emailing the Campaigns and Public Affairs Team at [email protected]. You may wish to check our Renters (Reform) Bill FAQs before doing so: www.nrla.org.uk/resources/renters-reform/renters-reform-faq.
