Join us at this exclusive member only event in Cardiff for an engaging and informative afternoon dedicated to landlords and property professionals in Wales. Agenda: 

13:15 – Registration & Networking 
Arrive and settle in with an opportunity to meet and connect with fellow attendees. A time to exchange ideas and prepare for the sessions ahead and take the opportunity to browse the  Exhibitor stands offering a range of services specially for landlords. 

14:00 – Welcome & Opening Address by Gill Owens 
Gill Owens will set the tone for the day, briefly introducing the agenda and what to expect from the upcoming sessions. 

14:05 – Video Address  from Julie James, Secretary for Housing & Local Government  TBC 
 Julie James Secretary for Housing providing the Welsh Government’s insights into current housing policies and their implications for the private rented sector. 

14:15 –  Video Address from Mark Isherwood, the new  Shadow Housing Secretary 
An insightful video presentation, , offering a view of housing and the rental landscape from the opposition's standpoint. 

14:25 - Private Rental Sector a Local Authority perspective - Councillor Lynda Thorne 

With landlords leaving the market and homelessness rising in Wales, Councillor Thorne will give an update on the increasing

challenges faced by local authorities 

14:40 – Panel Discussion: Shaping the Future of the Private Rented Sector 
A dynamic session featuring a panel of experts discussing key topics relevant to landlords in Wales. An opportunity for Q&A, ensuring your pressing questions are addressed

15:10 – Break & Networking

15:55 – NRLA Innovations: Portfolio & Safe 2 by James Kent 
As the PRS evolves, we are here to make the lettings process more efficient and provide landlords with a single place to manage all aspects of a tenancy. James will demo our exciting new Property Management platform Portfolio as well as our new Property Compliance platform Safe2: new technologies and digital services aimed at making property management more efficient. James will also share the innovations from some of our recognised suppliers who continue to develop ways to support landlords in the day to day nitty-gritty of keeping ourselves and our properties reassuringly compliant.

16:40 – 1710 PRS in Wales & NRLA Campaigning with Ben Beadle 
Ben Beadle delves into the specifics of the private rented sector in Wales, alongside NRLA’s efforts in advocating for landlords. Bringing the latest data from the NRLA’s Research Observatory, Ben will give key insights into the real impact of the surge of legislative change and challenge in Wales, and how landlords are reacting to it.
