Gerri Bird - Executive Councillor for Housing - Cambridge City Council

Opening Introduction & Address

Cllr Bird is an East Chesterton Labour Party Councillor who became Executive Councillor for Housing in May 2022.

Nikki Dekker – Energey Advisor - Peterborough Environment City Trust

Experienced energy advisor, Nikki Dekker, from PECT will be providing information on support that is available to your tenants who may be concerned about the increasing costs of their energy bills. Nikki will provide advice you can offer to your tenants about how to save energy, financial support available, and where to go for further support

Oliver Parsell - Technical Officer - Cambridge City Council

Minimum Energy Efficiency Standards

Oliver will discuss the Council’s current work on the regulations and the approach being taken. We will look at how the Council is working with landlords in the private rented sector to improve compliance in the City.

Oliver joined the Council permanently in April with his current work being focused on MEES and improving compliance in the City.


Joanne Dron - Senior Regional Representative - NRLA

Legislative Update

Joanne will be taking us through a whistle-stop tour of what is changing within the world of the landlord and what you should be keeping your eye out for in the coming 12 months.
