Private landlords needed for energy efficiency survey

Landlords are being invited to take part in an international survey to assess the challenges of making rental properties compliant with energy efficiency targets and regulations.

The survey is being conducted by the International Union of Property Owners (UIPI) and is asking landlords and property professionals about their response to legislation, the aim of which is to hit net zero by 2050.

In 2021, a similar survey was conducted, with 31% of those that responded citing economic constraints as a major obstacle to making modifications to their property, and 54% saying subsidies and grants would encourage them to make changes.

Three years later, property professionals in Europe are being asked what have they done so far and what they are planning to do when it comes to making properties energy efficient.

UIPI is keen to hear from landlords and property professionals in the UK, especially as the country was first to introduce minimum energy performance requirements.

All those who take part will be entered into a draw to win a 50-euro Amazon gift card. To take the survey, which should take no more than 10 minutes, click here
