Each month we shine the spotlight on one of our specialist courses, with the focus for December extended to cover our three tax courses.
Our collection of tax courses will teach you how to handle the financial aspects of your lettings including your tax liabilities, investments and tenant benefits.
Due to the latest restrictions relating to Covid-19, these are delivered by our expert trainer as a live, interactive, eClassroom courses. The benefit of this is that you will still be able to ask questions you have and interact with the trainer and other course delegates.
Capital Gains Tax
It’s a topic that has never been far from the headlines in recent weeks. Our Capital Gains Tax (CGT) course is ideal for landlords who want to learn the basic principles of CGT, and how to calculate and pay the tax due. Delegates will also learn about some popular capital gains tax planning techniques, and the latest on reliefs, exemptions and allowances, and how to get the most out of them.
This eClassroom course costs £50 for NRLA members, and £62 for non-members. It is taking place virtually on the following dates:

Inheritance Tax
Learn more about the theory behind inheritance tax, the importance of early planning and how to make use of the reliefs and exemptions available to save money on your family's eventual tax bill, in this eClassroom course. This course costs £50 for NRLA members, and upcoming dates include 23rd March 2021, and 8th June 2021, both afternoon sessions.
Property Tax
Our property tax eClassroom course is perfect for landlords who want to learn more about HMRC, tax rules and self-assessments.
You will also learn more about how to reduce your tax bill by applying the relevant deductions and how to structure your property ownership effectively.
This course is £140 for NRLA members and £160 for non-members. It will take place as an eClassroom course on the following days next year:
