Exclusive member webinar unpacks energy efficiency plans
The NRLA hosted an exclusive member webinar on government energy efficiency proposals this week - with a frequently asked questions sections now added to the website.
The controversial plans will see landlords of the 2.5million rentals with EPC ratings of D-G pay up to £15,000 per property to bring them up to a minimum C grade, with a deadline of 2030 for compliance.
During the session, hosted by the NRLA’s Chief Innovation Officer James Kent, we heard from James Wood, Head of Policy and Anna Moore, CEO at retrofitting experts and NRLA partner Domna.
James outlined the major changes included in the latest proposals from the Government, including related plans that could reduce an EPC certificate validity period from 10 years to as little as two.
Anna explained how Domna can help with upgrades and how retrofitting can increase your property's value.
