Call of the Week: Welcome letter for tenants
A member recently gave us a call looking for some general advice around creating a tenancy and how to make sure tenants feel welcome and both parties are clear on their responsibilities from the outset.
They were a relatively new member of the NRLA and had previously used an agent, although had some knowledge about the legalities involved already, such as providing a gas safety certificate.
The question our landlord had related to the practicalities of being a landlord and engaging with tenants. They wanted to know if there was a template letter they could give to their new tenant. Our adviser was able to confirm the NRLA does offer a template letter for members to download, fill in, and send to new tenants. They also offered some best practice advice for our landlord on this topic.
