NRLA landlord conference wins top award
The NRLA’s inaugural Landlord Conference has won Silver in the Best Association Event category of the Conference & Events Awards 2023.
The team picked up the award for its hugely successful sell-out 2022 conference, held in Coventry in November last year, beating off competition from a wide range of events from across a variety of trade associations.
Judges praised the association’s organisation of the event, its success in meeting key strategic objectives and the impressive ticket sales.
Plans for the 2023 Landlord Conference are now well under way, with the event, which will be hosted by presenter and journalist Clive Myrie to be held at the National Conference Centre in Birmingham on October 24.
The conference will be bigger and better than ever, featuring expert speakers from across the housing industry.
Success at the Conference & Events Awards comes just weeks after NRLA business analyst Maria Scarbrough won the Bronze Award in the Change Maker of the Year category of the UK National Contact Centre Awards, with the NRLA Training Academy also named Best Property Education Provider at the Property Reporter Awards earlire this year.
In addition to last week’s award the NRLA landlord conference has also made the shortlist for Best In-Person event at the Memcom Awards, celebrating the very best of the UK’s membership organisations.
NRLA CEO Ben Beadle has also reached the final of Memcom’s CEO Leadership Award, with Property magazine editor Sally Walmsley a finalist in the Editor of the Year category. The organisation itself is also in the running to pick up the Best Trade Association title.
