Exclusive NRLA webinar: Priorities for the new government

The NRLA will host a post-election webinar on 24 July, examining the new government's priorities when it comes to the private rented sector.

The webinar will follow the State Opening of Parliament and the King’s Speech on July 17, where the incoming government will put meat on the bones of its election pledges and outline its plans for the forthcoming parliamentary session.

The team will update you on what’s in and what’s out in terms of rental reform, energy efficiency and other issues impacting the sector.

As well as an update on the NRLA’s political engagement pre- and post-election, it will also provide an opportunity to hear from expert panellists who will consider what policy and regulatory changes are likely in the first 100 days of the new government.

Attendees will be invited to ask questions at the hour-long online event, which will be held on Zoom and is open to both members and non-members, who can set up a guest account to access content. Questions can be submitted by emailing [email protected]

The webinar will be held at 12 noon, with an expert panel including Meera Chindooroy and James Wood of the NRLA policy and campaigns team, as well as Carly Jermyn, from Woodstock Legal Services and Simon Martin from financial advisers St. James’s Place.
