Did you hear that NRLA On Tour is coming to Llanelli, on Tuesday 12th September for a FREE-to-attend event of seminars and networking not to be missed? James Hooker, Head of the Private Rental Sector will be giving an update of Welsh Government Housing strategy  including the Green Paper on Fair Rents & Adequate Housing.  Lucinda Wolf of Kearns Solicitors, will give us the latest insights into the legislation fallout on property possession.

NRLA CEO, Ben Beadle, will also present an update on the PRS in Wales and NRLA’s ongoing campaigning, and we’ll be demonstrating our new online property management platform, NRLA Portfolio, which will help you stay compliant with the complex legislation in Wales. You’ll also get the chance to take part in our panel debate, network with other members, and access onsite advice and guidance from the NRLA and selected exhibitors.

The PRS landscape in Wales has changed and is continuing to change.  NRLA South Wales Representative Gill and her panel will be taking questions from the floor and giving an overview of how the Renting Homes (Wales) Act has changed the PRS forever.

Lucinda Wolf, from Kearns Solicitors will give an update on Possession of properties under RH(W)A. 

9. Fair Rent and a Right to Adequate Housing Consultation – NRLA response  - Sandra Towers, Representative, Wales 

The working agreement between the Labour Government and Plaid Cymru provides for a Green and White Paper on “Fair Rent and a Right to Adequate Housing”, Sandra will give an update on the progress to date and where this will go over the remainder of the Welsh Government term. 

10. Close (5.20pm - 5:30pm)  

Douglas Haig, Non-Executive Director for Wales, NRLA will bring our conference to a close with his final thoughts on the Wales Private Rental Sector and how we work forward.
