1. Regulation & Planning Requirements For Short Term Lets - Ben Edgar-Spier, Regulatory Solicitor, Sykes Cottages in discussion with Richard Blanco
The government is proposing to regulate short term lets and create a new planning use Class C5. Many landlords have taken flight into short term and serviced accommodation because of s24 tax changes and increased regulation of the private rented sector. In London, there is already a 90 day limit to the use of residential property for short term lets. How could government proposals impact this and the broader holiday let market?
2. Update on Licensing & Housing Standards with Paul Mishkin, Private Sector Housing Operations Manager and Helen Masterson, Head of Private Sector Housing Standards, LB Newham
3. Consultation on Newham Damp & Mould Strategy with Emma Brunskill-Powell, Housing Strategy Manager, LB Newham
4. Regulatory Briefing & Housing Market Update with Richard Blanco, NRLA Representative
Get up to date on the recently published Renters Reform Bill, latest regulatory news and NRLA campaigns. Richard will also provide a briefing on the housing market, when interest rates might peak and other economic factors affecting landlords and property professionals.
