Landlords losing out due to covid-19
The NRLA sponsored a survey of independent landlords in September 2020. The research was undertaken by YouGov. The landlords were not necessarily members of the NRLA - they were drawn from YouGov's own database. The survey was conducted as part of our lobbying for a better deal for landlords in the wake of covid-19 and the closure of the courts.

Rental prices and real wages - the gap continues to grow
The lack of affordability of private rented properties in key locations has been the focus of fierce debate. The gap between rents and wages is again growing. Again the problem is not with surging prices but a dramatic fall in wages.
